The Swapper
is one of the most fascinating IndieCade finalists this year. While the trailer may pique your interest on the title (which has some very interesting "to create a clone" game - more on that in a moment), what is most surprising is not how it is to see or play. It's the way it did.

The Swapper Joystiq Games
was created by Facepalm, which is actually two teenage boys named Otto and Olli Harjola Hantula ( along with sound designer) in Helsinki, Finland. They created games, "but nothing as big as this," he said. You may think that, taking into account the incredible textures and bump-mapping in the game, which uses a kind of high-end motor to create it. Unreal Engine 3? CryEngine, perhaps? Nope.
